My personal favorite presentation and taste of Prawns is as per the Ocean Basket Butterfly Prawns . I don't need a menu ... it is my choice every time .

We had my son's 16th birthday at Ocean basket Lagoon Drive..service was amazing from start to end..Nombuso our waitress was magnificent. She went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect. Food and service outstanding..definitely will come back...

I am currently overseas and wanted to pay for a dinner for my mom’s birthday. Grant was so amazingly helpful and he made it happen from half way across the world! It’s for my mom’s birthday so it means so much to be able to do this. Grant even sent me pictures of my parents and brother enjoyed a fully paid for meal !! To Grant and the ocean basket lagoon team, THANK YOU for making this happen. This customer service is 10/10. 5 ⭐️ service.

Unpretentious eatery, a bit like Greek taverna. Prompt and friendly service. Food presentation basic, but generous portions and very flavourful

Excellent Service, Friendly Staff & Amazing Food! Review: Ocean Basket Umhlanga is one of my favorite places to eat! The service is always good and the staff are so friendly, making every visit enjoyable. The chef cooks everything perfectly—both the sushi and seafood are consistently excellent. I love going there for a relaxed meal with great flavors. The only thing I miss from the menu is the grilled starter calamari tubes, which used to be my favorite. Pleasant Surprise and Great Service at Ocean Basket We hadn’t been to an Ocean Basket in a while, so when we saw the Mother’s Day special, we were pleasantly surprised by the price—it looked like great value for money. The restaurant was very busy for a Friday night, but service was impressively fast, and our waitron, Nonku, was superb—friendly and efficient. We had a good laugh when the bread rolls arrived! They were so tiny, it looked like they’d been baked in an ice cube tray. Next time, I might just stop at the supermarket and bring my own rolls! We ordered the platter at R145 and a large fish and chips at R120. The platter looked just like the one advertised on Facebook, which was a nice surprise. However, in the ad, the lemon garlic sauce was served separately—in our case, it was poured all over the platter. If we had known, we would’ve asked for it on the side, as it tasted more like lemon margarine than sauce. That said, the food itself was excellent—everything grilled to perfection. Only the panko prawns were deep-fried, but they were still enjoyable. Despite the small annoyances, the quality of the food really stood out Yes we will return
