Seafood at Ocean Basket Sea Point

Had such a wonderful experience at Ocean Basket! The food was delicious and the service was exceptional. A special shoutout to Jerrente, who was absolutely phenomenal - friendly, attentive and genuinely went above and beyond to make our experience so enjoyable. Excellent service from start to finish.

Top seafood and service. Great value - big menu. MELPHIENE was our super host. Village salad was plentiful. Prawn & calamari combo or Bit of the ocean combo were both amazing.

Im Obergeschoss einer kleinen Mall an der Hauptstrasse durch Sea Point. Nicht sehr gross, aber das Essen gewohnt lecker, der Service bemüht. Wir waren 2x da und können auch dieses OB empfehlen!

Delicious food and friendly service. Would 100% recommend to anyone looking for a taste of cape town. Crunchy fish and chips, juicy fresh prawns and mussels, with a creamy garlic sauce... always best ordered with a fresh cooler drink to share. Number 1 on my list!!

Whilst staying in Sea Point for 6 nights I felt I had to have a meal at the Ocean Basket. I have previously dined here many times when on holiday. It would seem that the Restaurant is under new management having changed hands but not sure when this took place. I was seated very promptly at a nice table by Ronald who even provided a cushion for my chair!! I ordered wine and told Ronald that I was not in a hurry if that was ok with him I just wanted to take my time. I decided on my meal which was Bite of The Ocean. Although it had gone up quite a bit in price from my previous visit a year ago I thought it was still good value for what you were getting with a nice little selection of seafood, half portion of chips and rice. It was served as normal in a frying pan which is quite novel I think!! It was most enjoyable but unfortunately I could not eat it all so I was able to get a Doggy Bag no problem!! I was surprised at how busy the restaurant became so it is obviously still a popular place to go to for a meal. I would like to mention that Ronald was assisted by Fish a very nice waiter who was in training. We had a joke about his name but it was all taken in good spirit!! I finished off my evening with an Irish Coffee which was most enjoyable. The only time I normally drink these is when I am visiting South Africa.. I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant and most certainly the food and good service what more can you ask for. Would I return to this Ocean Basket Restaurant I most certainly would and I highly recommend it on my experience. Keep up the good work.

Best seafood in Seapoint

Cheap and cheerful . Slightly different being in a shopping centre but get a balcony seat in the light . Basic menu but all super fresh and good value . A good place for quick filling tasty food and at a good price . I think there is a chain so could search .. another is at the Waterfront .. try it

There’s fish n chips the British way. The South African way is better. And the Ocean Basket way at Sea Point is the best ; the very best. It simply can’t be beaten !! The restaurant looks nothing...

The food has all ways been constant and good and so was the service we really enjoyed our experience once again
