Friendly staff & good food

Have not been here in a very long time due to a bad experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal this time round. I shared a platter for 2 which was great. The prawns were cooked to perfection and the calamari was soft. We will be going back again when next in town.

Nothing sort of magnificent. How they get seafood this fresh here I have no idea. Awesome service, hot fresh food, cold beer, what more u need?

If you like fish, and especially prawns, then Ocean Basket is THE place to be! Very good and very friendly people. Take away also possible.

With the cool spray mist on the veranda's and the excellent service, an evening at Lephalale's Ocean basket is a welcome break from the bush veld heat. The creamy salmon soup and fresh sushi is amazing for starters, and the grilled kingklip is my favorite.

Dit is 'n familierestaurant vir die hele gesig. Personeel is vriendelik, de spyskaart is uitgerebeid met lekker seekosgeregte. Hulle het ooksushi beskikbaar en vir klein kinders is 'n aparte speelhoek en klim-en-klouter apparatuur. Die eienaar en sy gesin is ook met regelmaar aanwesig.

I think Ellisras has a permanant heatwave, so any place that you can get some great food and a cold drink is a God-send. The food is really good, we only really went for starters as we had eaten earlier, but the selection and quality was great. What we really liked were the cocktails and the wine..... its been a while since I spent that much on cocktails but the girls loved the variety so much, they just had to try them all. Staff was really friendly and the place is nice and clean (and the air-con works a charm too) Great place.
