Great place, we go there often, but they have stuff on the menu they never have, like tarama, and serve stuff that is never good, like the seared tuna. Stay away from the expensive options and you are good.

I visited Ocean Basket over the weekend and I was so pleased by the service I was given my waitress Emelia and the food was a 10/10 can't wait to visit again

We are regulars but experienced a. Issue on a prior occasion a few weeks ago. We reported the problem to the Management and this time, they ensured that this was resolved. Our meal this time was perfect -the service was excellent and the meal was superb!

Great service from Genius Ocean Basket Gordons Bay. He been our waiter twice and always made us feel welcome. We can definitely recommend the Smokey Salmon Tempura Cula sushi. Keep it up! We will be back next time we are in Gordons Bay!

I would like to raise a complaint regarding my visit to Ocean Basket Gordon’s Bay on Sunday, 12 April 2026. We ordered a Perfect Catch platter, sushi platter, and a lemon and mint cooler. The cooler had too much ice and did not taste anything like the same drink we have had at other Ocean Basket branches. We raised this with the host and later the manager, but we were told it is a standard pre-packed mixture from head office. My concern is that if it is standard, why does it not taste the same as at other branches? Kindly investigate this matter and improve consistency and product quality.

Food was great and service too. Genius and Takunda were amazing

Fish was terrible. Asked for hake. Kitchen said not there problem.

Great value for money platter for 2 . We both came out full . And the meal was very tasty the the sauce thay come with it . The service way goo and staff friendly. We'll definitely be back

We stayed at Krystal Beach Hotel and we took a short stroll to Ocean Basket at around 4pm. We placed an order and paid for it immediately. The order had to be delivered to the hotel at around 7pm. We felt like eating in. Our order was delivered on time. Perfectly packaged. The detail was there. Serviettes, cutlery, toothpicks etc. We felt very happy with the service from Mandla and the food was yum! We were very impressed. There were no mistakes and much love in our order.
